Harry Potter 5 - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Warner Bros. Pictures and David Yates collaborated on the fantasy picture Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007. It is based on the same-titled book written by J. K. Rowling in 2003. This is the fifth installment in the Harry Potter film series, and it was written by Michael Goldenberg (making it the only one not to have Steve Kloves write the script), with David Heyman and David Barron serving as producers.
Along with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint playing Harry Potter's best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, respectively, the movie stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter. As the Ministry of Magic denies that Lord Voldemort has returned, the novel follows Harry during his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Following Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the movie is the follow-up to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). (2009).
From February through November 2006, with a one-month hiatus in June, live-action filming took place in England and Scotland for external locations and Leavesden Film Studios in Watford for interior locations. The movie underwent months of post-production to incorporate visual effects. According to reports, the movie's budget was between £75 and $100 million ($150-200 million). It is the first Potter movie to be released in IMAX 3D. Warner Bros. released the movie in conventional and IMAX theaters on July 11, 2007, in North America, and on July 12, 2007, in the United Kingdom.
The second-highest-grossing movie of 2007 was Order of the Phoenix, which debuted to a $333 million global opening in its first five days and raked in $942 million overall. In 2008, the movie received two BAFTA Film Award nominations. Hollywood accounting has been observed in this instance, since Warner Bros. claimed the movie lost $167 million despite its overall box office success.
After creating the sets for the first four movies, Stuart Craig made a comeback as a set designer. This movie included a number of noteworthy new sets. The Ministry of Magic's atrium is the largest and most expensive set ever created for the Potter film series, measuring more than 200 feet in length. A Burger King on Tottenham Court Road in London, where "there's a fantastic Victorian façade which just embodies the age," and early London Underground stations, where, according to Craig, architects "tried to imitate classical architecture but they used ceramic tile," were the inspirations for his design.
The Black family tapestry is displayed on three walls of the set of Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place. When the producers requested a visual representation of each name and birth year, Rowling sent them a complete copy of the family tree. The Hall of Prophecies set was fully constructed digitally. Prophecies collapse to the ground and smash during a battle scene that takes place there; if it had been a real physical set, the reset time would have been weeks. For Harry's trial in this movie, the set that was utilized for Igor Karkaroff's trial sequence in Goblet of Fire was expanded by two times while maintaining its symmetry.
Following John Williams, who scored the first three movies, and Patrick Doyle, who composed the fourth, Nicholas Hooper was the soundtrack composer for the movie. Hooper modified "Hedwig's Theme," the series' theme that was created by Williams for the first film and included in all subsequent sequels, in the new soundtrack. Hooper and the Chamber Orchestra of London recorded approximately two hours of music at Abbey Road Studios in London in the months of March and April 2007. The score is darker than earlier installments in the series, just like the movie and novel.
The two new overarching themes, Lord Voldemort's invasion of Harry's head and the ominous new character Dolores Umbridge, serve to emphasize this. A Japanese Taiko drum was used to provide a richer percussion sound. On July 10, 2007, the eve of the movie's premiere, Warner Bros. Records published the soundtrack.
After Mike Newell, the director of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Guillermo del Toro, Matthew Vaughn, and Mira Nair, declined offers to direct the movie, British television director David Yates was selected. The first four Potter movies' screenwriter, Steve Kloves, had other obligations. The script was written by Michael Goldenberg, who was a candidate to write the first movie in the series. The film's editor was Mark Day, the photographer was Slawomir Idziak, and the costume designer was Jany Temime.
The London-based business Double Negative produced more than 950 of the more than 1,400 visual effects shots that were necessary for the movie. Beginning in September 2005, Double Negative worked for six months on previsualization. They were primarily in charge of creating the scenes in the Forbidden Forest, the Hall of Prophecies, the Death Chamber, and the Room of Requirement. Grawp, Hagrid's enormous half-brother, was a brand-new character created for the movie using a new technique called Soul Capturing that was created by Image Metrics. Grawp's moves were modeled from the movements and facial expressions of actor Tony Maudsley rather than creating the character from scratch.

In a vision, Harry sees Voldemort torturing Sirius. Through the Floo Network, Harry, Ron, and Hermione quickly reach Umbridge's office to inform the Order. As Harry is ready to get a harsh punishment from Umbridge when they are apprehended, Hermione claims Dumbledore has a "secret weapon" buried in the Forbidden Forest. She and Harry take Umbridge to the facility housing Grawp, Hagrid's enormous half-brother. Umbridge taunts and fights them, and the centaurs confront and abduct her. To save Sirius, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Neville, and Ginny take Thestrals and fly to the Ministry of Magic.
The six find the item Voldemort is hunting, a vial of prophecy marked with Harry's name, when they enter the Department of Mysteries. They are ambushed by Death Eaters, including Bellatrix Lestrange and Lucius Malfoy. Harry's vision of Sirius being tortured was a ploy, according to Lucius, to draw him there. When Harry declines to reveal the prophesy to Lucius, a battle between Dumbledore's Army and the Death Eaters takes place.
Harry is forced to give up the prophecy after the Death Eaters overcome the pupils. Sirius, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Kingsley Shacklebolt, and Mad-Eye Moody all show up as Harry gives it to Lucius. Lucius drops the prophecy and it is destroyed as they battle the Death Eaters. Sirius is killed by Bellatrix as he is about to defeat Lucius.
Voldemort appears, but Dumbledore shows up just in time to stop him from killing Harry. Much of the Atrium is destroyed in a fierce duel, but Bellatrix manages to flee. Voldemort has taken over Harry's body because the two wizards are evenly matched, and he wants Dumbledore to offer Harry as a sacrifice. Voldemort is quickly driven out by Harry's devotion for his friends and family. Before Voldemort disappears, ministry representatives show up; Fudge acknowledges that Voldemort has returned and resigns in disgrace.
Dumbledore takes over as headmaster of Hogwarts after Umbridge is fired. Dumbledore says that he had cut off contact with Harry to stop Voldemort from taking advantage of their friendship. He also makes the prophecy public. Harry tries to reconcile the prophecy that "Neither can live while the other survives" as he mourns Sirius' passing.
